Popis práce JetBrains is a global technology company that creates intelligent software development tools. Our Legal team plays a crucial role in supporting various departments across the company, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks. We are currently looking for a Legal Counsel specializing in real estate and procurement to join the growing team and support our efforts. In this role, you will: - Provide legal support, advice, and guidance to the Global Workplace Department, Procurement, HR, Payroll, Finance, Treasury, and Office Management teams on procurement and real estate matters, primarily in the Czech Republic, but also for other JetBrains entities globally. - Negotiate, draft, review, and terminate commercial contracts, including lease, fit-out, supply, and service agreements. - Interpret contracts for internal stakeholders, explaining potential legal risks and proposing risk mitigation strategies while escalating significant risks to relevant functional leads. - Support the Global Workplace Department in obtaining necessary construction and building permits in compliance with applicable laws before commencing construction or fit-out projects. - Conduct due diligence on real estate properties and transactions. - Communicate with internal stakeholders, project managers, state authorities, notaries, banks, and external legal counsels, supporting procurement and real estate matters across different jurisdictions. - Monitor and analyze new legislative developments, and prepare risk analyses and reports on their potential impacts on JetBrains Group companies. - Conduct legal research on procurement and real estate laws across different jurisdictions, summarizing key findings. - Contribute to the preparation and updating of internal policies related to procurement and real estate matters. - Draft and update template agreements and processes related to procurement and real estate. - Draft and review corporate documents, such as board resolutions, shareholder resolutions, and powers of attorney, related to procurement and real estate transactions, ensuring proper corporate approvals before execution. - Oversee contract execution, archiving, and internal document management, maintaining internal registers and company-specific document management systems. - Occasionally perform basic translations of documents between Czech and English. - Carry out other legal tasks as required.
Požadavky We will be happy to have you on our team if you have: - A legal degree from a recognized university. - 4+ years of experience in procurement and/or real estate law, preferably in a corporate or law firm setting. - Strong knowledge of Czech real estate, procurement, and contract law – experience with international transactions and construction, fit-out, and leasing agreements would be highly desirable. - Experience in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - The ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders. - Experience working with government authorities, notaries, and financial institutions. - Strong Czech and English language skills, both written and spoken. - The ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
