As a Legal Counsel, you will provide global legal support to companies within Phrase Group. The role will be an integral part of the legal team reporting to the Director, Legal Affairs and working with colleagues across the company on a variety of commercial, corporate, privacy, legal operations, and other matters.
This role is an entry-level legal counsel position. It is a hybrid role (a combination of office and remote work), with our head office in the centre of Prague.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, including NDA, service agreements and licensing agreements,
- Manage and maintain our contract management system (Ironclad),
- Provide legal support and advice to different departments within the Phrase Group, including sales, marketing, finance, and HR,
- Conduct legal research on various issues and monitor changes in relevant legislation related to technology, AI, data privacy, intellectual property,
- Help ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations,
- Contribute to the development and implementation of company policies and internal procedures |

What you’ll bring to us:
- University degree in law
- Czech and English language fluency, excellent written and communication skills
- Ideally 1-2 years of experience in a law firm or in-house function, preferably with exposure to commercial law and technology law,
- Experience with SaaS contracts and IP is an advantage,
- Experience with legal tech and contract management tools is an advantage,
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills,
- Interest in AI is an advantage
